Read MoreIn 2011 several descendants of the beloved 623 African American men who were victims in the United States Public Health Service Study of Untreated Syphilis (USPHSSUS) at Tuskegee and Macon County met at Tuskegee University Center for Bioethics in Research and Health Care. Our purpose then was to uplift and honor our fathers’ legacies. We wanted to make sure their sacrifices will never be forgotten and never will a study like this happen again.
